So Krabby did receive quite the buff in this game, being that it learns Crabhammer reaaaally early (at Lvl 15, as opposed to Lvl 56 as a Kingler). Took 4 tries but I got it with no casualties! In addition to almost 1-shotting my entire team with Vicegrip alone. Side note, this Krabby literally was scary to catch since it had Shed Skin, so it kept shedding off Thunder Waves like no big deal. I named her Echidna after an axe-wielding resistance leader from FE6. Now this was also a lucky find (since it is a non-Magikarp encounter!). Time to dive right in! Also I'll try to explain more specific changes (Pokemon changes, etc.) as I progress through the game, once again there are a ton of changes so you'll probably have to read up (or play the game) the documentation if you are curious about all the changes made. I'm not allowed to use these Pokemon after I have obtained said items and they must be boxed immediately

  • (Exclusive to SG/SS) I may be able to catch certain Pokemon to trade or to get certain items (will get into both later), that I may not be able to obtain otherwise.
  • Black out = Game Over (even if I have Pokemon in my reserve box).
  • I must nickname every single Pokemon I catch.
  • Gift and Interactable Pokemon do not count as route/new area encounters.
  • All Legendary/Mythical Pokemon are banned.
  • Shiny Clause - All Shiny Pokemon can be captured and used, even if they are encountered after the 1st encounter in a new route/area.
  • Species Clause - I may not catch the same Pokemon twice (even if they have more than 1 evolutionary path), if my 1st encounter happens to be a Pokemon I already have, I must capture the next unique encounter.
  • The 1st encounter in each new route/area is the only Pokemon you are allowed to catch in the area, and nothing else.
  • Any Pokemon that faints must be boxed immediately and may not be used for the remainder of the game.
  • and more! (that I probably don't remember of the top of my head)Īnyways let's break down the rules, I'm sure everyone knows the gist of a Nuzlocke but I'll put em here just so it's there (I've added some modifications and a few extra rules).
  • Easier evolutionary methods (mainly trade evolutions, level evolutions remain unchanged).
  • New events exclusive to the game (to prevent spoilers, I won't delve into them now).

  • Harder overworld and boss trainers (as well as additional overworld and boss trainers).
  • Changes to certain (majority of the national Pokedex) Pokemon including type changes, stat buffs, movepool changes, ability changes/additions, and more.
  • All 493 Pokemon (Kanto-Sinnoh) are available.
  • Notable Changes Sacred Gold (and it's partner Storm Silver) include. So I've Nuzlocke-d this game before, and since I haven't touched this game fully in a while, I decided to relive my fantasy again and Nuzlocke it again.Īlso I'm Wuzzy/HotFuzzBall, I'm actually not dead (I've been active on Discord and I post occasionally on other people's walls) In a nutshell, this game is essentially a much more difficult version of Pokemon Heart Gold (with a level curve that makes sense, and actual areas to grind so it is easier in that sense) with a bunch of new changes to keep the game fresh. Contrary to what the above picture says, this is actually a run of Pokemon Sacred Gold (not to be confused with Heart Gold), which was a hack created by Drayano60 back in the day.
